**About the role**
Are you a master at multi-tasking hands-on gardening and maintenance services within a large retirement living environment? We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and organised Maintenance Officer/Gardener looking for a new challenge.
Regency Park Retirement Village has expansive gardens and you will be providing lawn and garden maintenance, tree and shrub pruning, hedging and garden refuse removal.
Your days will be varied and you will also:
- Undertake general maintenance work including, but not limited to, repairs, installation and cleaning;
- Undertake maintenance work in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule;
- Complete all relevant record keeping and administration utilising the organisation's asset management system where appropriate.
Remuneration for this role is $24.67 - $24.87 per hour commensurate with experience.
**About you**
You are a self-starting and driven individual who loves working collaboratively as part of a team, however, you are also capable of working on your own. With your highly developed customer focus and excellent service skills, you resolve gardening and maintenance issues as they arise.
You have proven knowledge and physical capacity to use and maintain equipment as required by the role. Your ability to work autonomously and manage your own time is exceptional. You have a welcoming, caring, compassionate nature and are ever ready to provide support.
To be suited to this position ideally you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a maintenance role (previous retirement living experience highly regarded) with physical capacity to carry out maintenance duties as required;
- Home and/or garden maintenance certificate would be an advantage;
- Ability to maintain and develop relationships with internal and external services providers;
- Applied knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements, or ability to acquire same within one month of employment;
- Possess a current Queensland driver's licence (or ability to acquire same within 1 month of employment).
