About the role
The role of Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, management and security of Councils building portfolio including, Administration offices, community buildings and industrial depots. This role leads internal teams and contractors to ensure facilities are proactively managed, safe, compliant, functional and operationally efficient while supporting the delivery of Council services to the community.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will be proactive, committed to excellence and ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards.
You will have:
* Diploma qualifications in Facilities Management, Project Management or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
* Current Class C Drivers Licence
* Proven experience in facilities management or related field
* Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts

Other important information
* The commencing salary for this position is up to $96.6K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $112K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
* We have multiple permanent full-time roles available
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
* This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building / Gosford Library
* Includes a work vehicle with provision for take home use
