Location: Fremantle and Rottnest Island (commuting), Western Australia
Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) manages renewal or upgrade projects and the development of existing and new infrastructure using external service providers. The Authority is seeking an experienced and qualified Manager – Infrastructure Contracts to lead strategic and commercially sensitive procurement-related initiatives to enable the engagement of consultants and contractors on a wide range of contracts. The individual will manage, lead and provide expert advice in multiple areas including technical, commercial, legal and financial among others. The Manager – Infrastructure Contracts is also responsible for:
* Leading the procurement process, managing complex Infrastructure contracts for RIA.
* Spearhead the engagement of project services for bespoke contracting arrangements.
* Managing the contract lifecycle, including drafting and negotiating contracts, monitoring contract performance, and identifying and resolving any arising issues.
The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following six (6) essential criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total. Desirable criteria will be assessed as required.
* Degree in law accompanied by high level skills, knowledge and experience in contract negotiation, contract drafting and development and commercial law.
* Experience in establishing and delivering complex procurement and contracting arrangements for the delivery of Infrastructure Projects.
* Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
* Significant experience in managing complex contracts for large-scale infrastructure projects, with effective communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing procurement in Western Australia.
* Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity and work health and safety in the workplace.
* Evidence of genuine team player with proactive attitude, adaptability and flexibility to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities.
