The Role: Executive Sales Director - Australia
We are seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Executive Sales Director to drive sales growth within the energy and utility sector across Australia.
This role offers a unique chance to develop key relationships, generate high-impact deals, and contribute to our company's growth.
Responsibilities:
* Drive substantial revenue growth through developing a pipeline of utility customers and opportunities.
* Implement and deliver our Sales Strategy in accordance with company targets.
* Develop and strengthen commercial relationships with local partners, Transmission System Operators (TSOs), Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and Energy Traders.
* Manage business development with senior utility leaders (C-Level to VP and Director level) across operations, planning, and procurement.
* Owning and building a material sales pipeline for new and existing customers.
* Providing up-to-date, accurate, and insightful sales reporting to the leadership team.
* Sales of highly technical products and services to Electric Utilities in the Australian market.
* Addressing renewable integration related key issues on grid stability for Electric Utilities.
* Managing grid software portfolio and grid automation portfolio for both transmission and distribution markets.
* Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
* Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
* Proven ability to successfully drive sales opportunities from plan to close.
* Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
* Solutions-driven mindset, enabling you to map the right solutions to help customers solve problems and reach their goals.
* Attending industry conferences.
Essential Experience
* 5+ years of working in a sales role within the Australian transmission/distribution (T&D) sector.
* Solid connections at a senior level, plus strong negotiation skills.
* Experience with Distributed Energy Resources Management System (DERMS).
* Experience with Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS).
* Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce).
* Measurable track record of delivering commercially and consistently achieving sales targets.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to successfully interact internally and externally.
* Degree level (or equivalent) in related technical disciplines would be an advantage (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Power Systems, Electronics).
