Role Overview
Reporting to Caryn Sandler, Partner + Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer, you will step into a senior role within the G+T Innovate team and will play a key role in shaping and delivering the firm's legal transformation agenda. As a Senior Legal Transformation Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of strategic legal transformation initiatives, both within the firm and for clients, contributing to G+T's market‐leading position in legal innovation.
In This Role, You Will
* Plan, deliver and embed legal technology solutions, with a focus on Generative AI, that enhance the delivery of legal services.
* Serve as product owner for key legal technology products and services, overseeing development, pilot activities, implementation and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to the firm's broader transformation strategy, including innovation initiatives across practice groups and the wider firm.
* Design and deliver training programs and facilitate workshops focused on legal technology (including Generative AI) and innovation, supporting capability uplift for lawyers, partners and clients.
* Identify, access and analyse data to track adoption, measure impact and inform decision‐making, including developing and delivering reporting for senior stakeholders on the performance and value of transformation initiatives.
* Support the responsible use of legal technology, including Generative AI, by working with legal, risk and compliance teams to ensure appropriate governance, controls and quality standards are in place.
* Lead and deliver bespoke transformation and change initiatives for key clients, translating legal team and business needs into practical, technology‐enabled solutions.
* Build and manage relationships with technology vendors and platform providers, working closely with them to support ongoing optimisation, performance and capability development.
* Identify, assess and apply emerging legal technologies, including Generative AI and other rapidly evolving tools, ensuring solutions remain current, effective and aligned to firm priorities.
* Manage and support members of the Legal Transformation team, a core part of the broader G+T Innovate team.
* Proactively maintain and develop expertise in emerging legal technologies, staying across industry developments, market trends and emerging use cases.
About You
* Extensive experience delivering legal transformation initiatives, with a strong track record across internal and client‐facing programs.
* Deep expertise in innovation, legal operations or consulting, gained in a law firm or professional services environment.
* Proven experience applying Generative AI in legal contexts to improve service delivery, productivity and ways of working.
* Strong, practical understanding of legal technology, with the ability to assess use cases and guide the effective adoption of a range of tools and platforms.
* Experience working directly with clients, technology vendors and platform providers to implement and optimise solutions.
* Demonstrated capability designing and delivering training programs and workshops that support capability uplift for lawyers, partners and clients.
* Strong understanding of legal team workflows, with the ability to translate technology into practical, usable solutions.
* Highly proactive and solutions‐oriented, able to identify issues, work through complexity and deliver outcomes with a high degree of autonomy.
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and change management skills, with the ability to build credibility and gain buy‐in from senior stakeholders.
* Commercially focused, with the ability to align transformation initiatives to business outcomes and deliver measurable results.
