Team Leader Workshop & Service Coordinator

Location:
This position will be based at our workshop in New Gisborne (VIC). This is an onsite role.
The role:
In this role, you will contribute to the safety and quality of our products, specifically focusing on couplers. You will be responsible for everyday activities that includes, planning, quality inspection, writing reports, facility care, ect. You will be responsible for delivery of products on time and plan activities in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for a wide range of products within train connection systems. You will work to deliver the best planning for the workshop. Your tasks will also include providing important feedback from the daily work to support the company on continuous improvement initiatives based on Lean and how we can improve our KPI’s. You are responsible to deliver on set KPI targets.
The role reports to the Business Unit Manager in Australia.
Your role will involve:
- Manage a team of technicians
- Demonstration competencies that make you the expert in assembly of mechanical components
- Planning and re-planning of work orders and customer orders.
- Make sure the Customer orders are sent on time.
- Update data and parameters in the ERP-system when needed.
- Update Sales on logistic deviations.
- Administrating and handling planning issues that might occur.
- Create work package to of the team.
- Report the hours in in the groups ERP-system.
- Report the work conducted in ERP-system.
- Report the work progress to different managers
- Communicate the progress with upper management related to all activities.
- Initiate NCR for damaged goods or wrong design in our ERP-system.
- Control and check the products before packed and shipped to customer.
- Communicate with customer when products are received and shipped out.
- Follow-up on customers KPI and send out WIP reports to customer.
We expect that:
- You have at least 3 years of experience managing a team
- You have a driver license
- Previous knowledge in reporting systems
- You have technical work experience of manufacturing and overhaul
- You are skilled in working with hand tools
- You can understand drawings and perform accurate measurements
- You have documented knowledge in CAD
- You have documented knowledge in Infor M3
- You are fluent in spoken and written English
- You have a good technical understanding and analytical skills
- You prioritize safety in your work
- You are very skilled in working with computers
