About The Role
You will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
Reporting to the Director Clinical Governance and Risk of Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the Community Participation Coordinator is responsible for establishing, recruiting, supporting and maintaining the active and meaningful participation of community members and consumers in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. This includes developing and sustaining meaningful relationships with consumers and community members.
This position assists in building staff capacity in working with consumers and community representatives and is involved in patient and family centred care initiatives and strategies within the facility.

Ideal Candidate
* Tertiary qualifications in public health, clinical, communication or relevant health related field and/or experience.
* Public or private sector experience for effective communication, networking and consultation with members of the community, consumers, community, groups and health professionals.
* Capacity to engage and influence health professionals and workplace culture regarding the benefits of community participation and Involvement.
* Experience managing projects and working with project teams to achieve positive outcomes
