What you’ll do
In this group-wide role you will offer a high level of influence across the entire business where you understand the organisational structure and organisational direction and provide the strategic architectural direction for WooliesX. As the Senior Solution Architect your primary goal will be to help lead and define the WooliesX Architecture strategy and ways of working.
With your excellent technical and leadership skills, you will also:
1. Develop a fit-for-purpose governance framework for WooliesX, with relevant context to the broader Group architecture approach.
2. Create a reference architecture for key systems & capability across WooliesX.
3. Design, model, and provide a strategic point-of-view on the target-state architecture, including modelling and communicating transitionary states.
4. Drive work prioritisation across the team and enable the successful delivery of internally generated solution designs by external service providers.
What you’ll bring
5. Experience working in a scale Agile environment
6. Experience working in a Digital-first landscape
7. Demonstrated End-to-End Program/Business Architecture experience on large scale IT transformation programs
8. Solid experience with solution design and successful implementation of complex business solutions
9. Extensive and demonstrated previous experience with Enterprise and solutions architecture, business, systems requirements, technical design and analysis in a complex and legacy technical environment
10. Proven experience in delivery focus and a broad range of skills in Integration, Applications, and Data is a must-have
11. Solid experience in the facilitation of groups during planning and design activities, change management activities
12. Ability to effectively communicate to the technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organisation
13. Retail, Logistics and/or Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
14. Demonstrated experience guiding and collaborating with multi-disciplinary technical teams covering multiple domains.
15. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication & influencing skills
16. Superior analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills
17. Background in Software Development, product engineering
18. Experience and knowledge of various architecture methodologies, industry-standard development methodologies, tools, and techniques
19. Ability to define complex and innovative technical solutions to business problems
20. Strong knowledge of cloud computing Architectures preferably Azure, GCP
21. Understanding of Modern and evolutionary architectures MACH, MESH, AI, DDD would be desirable
