About the role

As HR Advisor, you will provide practical, timely and professional HR support across a broad range of areas including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, learning, development, and employee experience. You will work closely with managers, employees, the People & Culture team and external providers to support consistent, compliant and values-aligned HR practices. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in high-quality service delivery and is confident supporting both operational HR processes and people-focused advisory work.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will:

* Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth, compliant and positive experience.
* Support hiring managers with role requirements, recruitment processes and inclusive selection practices.
* Provide accurate and practical HR advice on policies, procedures and employee lifecycle matters.
* Assist managers in managing performance, conduct, attendance and workplace concerns.
* Respond to HR enquiries and support the resolution of employee queries.
* Maintain HR systems, employee records and workforce data with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
* Monitor workforce compliance requirements, including screening checks, licences and training.
* Coordinate learning and development activities, including induction and mandatory training.
* Support employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
* Assist with exit interview processes and summarise insights and trends.
* Support WorkCover and return-to-work processes and maintain related records.
* Contribute to reporting, People & Culture initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

About you

You are a proactive and people-focused HR professional who enjoys supporting others and building strong working relationships. You bring sound judgement, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely and professional advice. You are comfortable working across a range of HR activities, managing competing priorities and handling sensitive matters with discretion. You are also aligned with Footprints' values and committed to inclusive, culturally safe and person-centred practice.

To be successful, you will bring

* Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated HR generalist experience.
* Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
* Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and HR practices.
* Experience providing HR advice and supporting employee relations matters.
* Strong HR systems, reporting and record-keeping capability.
* Experience supporting learning and development coordination.
* Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
* Current Queensland Class C Driver's Licence.
* Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).

It would be great if you also have

* Experience with SCHADS or related awards.
* Experience in community services, disability, aged care or health sectors.
* Familiarity with LMS or e-learning tools.
* Exposure to WorkCover or return-to-work processes.
