**Woods & Co Recruitment **has partnered with a progressive and exciting company, looking for a Senior Compliance professional, ready to take the next step forward in their career.

With a leading reputation for providing investor and funds management, risk and compliance, and document drafting services, this firm has expertise across all industries, including property development, mining and tech. They are a growth company looking to expand in credit activities and cryptocurrency exchange platform within the short term.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and to establish the Compliance function within the organisation. Furthermore, you will be integral in strengthening the company's compliance culture and motivated to be involved in all parts of the business, from product development to investor process to managing operational risk.

**The what**:
**(Including but not limited to)**
- Manage the risk and compliance functions of the organisation
- Account to the Board in reporting on risk and compliance matters pursuant to the funds' compliance plans
- Manage a small team of compliance analysts and lawyers
- Provide guidance and strategic risks input on business development matters and products
- Conduct training to ensure team competence
- Develop and enhance compliance reviews, testing programs or audit programs

**The how**:

- Ideally at least 7+ years of experience in a risk and compliance role with either an Australian regulator, superannuation fund, fund manager or reputable consultancy firm
- Confident managing a small team, therefore ideally, at least 3 years management experience and ability to lead and inspire staff working in a full remote environment
- Ability to work autonomously and resolve problems independently
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage your own schedule to meet deadlines
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and can-do attitude to take on any new duties and projects, which may include learning new and challenging tasks
