APS5 Internal Review Officer
Key Responsibilities:
* Working with participants/applicants to gather information regarding the nature and context of review requests.
* Informing participants/applicants and their representatives about decisions, reviews and the appeals process.
* Monitoring and managing caseloads, ensuring internal reviews are completed within set timeframes.
* Contributing to quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery practice, processes and systems.
Key Capabilities
* A degree in law, social work, psychology, disability studies, or a related field is desirable.
* Experience working within the disability sector, social services, or a related field.
* An understanding of various disabilities and the challenges individuals face.
* Previous experience with case management, advocacy, or legal decision-making.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail, empathy, and strong organizational skills.
* High-level analytical skills, with the ability to assess evidence, analyse information, and make sound decisions.
* Australian Citizenship required
