The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Occupational Therapist Team Leader to join our highly skilled and fluid team in a fast-paced acute clinical setting.
As a Team Leader, you will oversee a broad range of clinical specialties, providing crucial line management and supervision.
You will play an important role in our facility's key pillars of surgical, medical & rehabilitation services for adult inpatients.
Manage day-to-day staffing and referral allocation, ensuring efficient caseload management.
Foster teamwork, support clinical decision-making, and maintain effective communication across all staff levels.
Support team members through mentoring and regular supervision, fostering a supportive environment conducive to professional growth and excellence.
Lead on quality improvement initiatives, research, and potential participation in health excellence awards and scholarships.
Working hours are typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Where You'll Be Working
Belmont Hospital is located within the Hunter New England Local Health District and is nestled between multiple beautiful beaches and the magnificent Hunter Valley vineyards, which are just an hour's drive away.
The hospital has direct access to public transport and is close to numerous public schools and several major shopping centres.
Requirements
Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
Australian Citizen, permanent resident of Australia, or New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
Temporary visa holders only eligible if no suitable local candidate is identified and employment is in line with visa conditions.
Eligibility to be created for future permanent or temporary vacancies.
