Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with solid clinical knowledge, auditing experience, and exceptional skills in communication, time management, and IT? Do you have a passion for quality and compliance in aged care? If so, we would love for you to join our team as a Quality Compliance Officer.
This is a full-time remote role, with regular travel required to our facilities across regional and remote areas of Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland, WA and NSW.
About the Role
As a Quality Compliance Officer, you will support our Chief Quality and Risk Officer to ensure compliance functions run smoothly and quality initiatives are successfully implemented across our services. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards our residents and their families expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits against residential aged care accreditation standards.
- Work closely with the Chief Quality and Risk Officer to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Assist in developing and implementing projects, policies, and best‑practice processes.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of electronic clinical support systems.
- Document and maintain evidence of the organisation’s Quality Management Systems across all sites.
- Support risk identification, mitigation, trending, and analysis.
- Prepare for external regulator visits, including reaccreditation.
- Conduct gap analyses and provide on‑site support as needed.
- Deliver quality‑related education for facilities and staff.
- Oversee clinical and medication practices to ensure compliance.
- Attend internal and external meetings, including announced and unannounced regulator visits.
- Support Care Managers and orient new management team members.
- Ensure compliance with the Serious Incident Reporting Scheme (SIRS).
- Any other tasks as directed by the Chief Quality and Risk Officer.
About You
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration.
- Strong IT and information management skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of Aged Care Standards, the Aged Care Act, Residents Rights, Documentation Standards, Aged Care Funding Instrument, and other relevant legislation and codes of practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening certification.
- To work with Respect, candidates must meet the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening.
