About the Role

Technology Teacher

St Aloysius’ College are seeking a dedicated and passionate Technology Teacher who is committed to delivering a supportive, interactive, and well-rounded learning experience for our students.

The successful candidate will be qualified to teach at secondary level in line with NESA and College requirements. They will have proven ability to teach Stages 4 Technology, as well as capacity to teach Stage 5. The ideal candidate will also create a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment, conducive to meeting the educational needs of students, and demonstrate a deep commitment to the wellbeing of each student.

This is a part-time, (0.4FTE), ongoing position with a commencement date of Term 1, Monday, 19 January 2026 and will report to the Head of Visual Arts and Technology.

Your Application

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

- Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;
- Appropriate secondary teaching qualifications, specifically Technology and eligibility to teach under the requirements of NESA and College policy;
- Proven experience teaching Stage 4 Technology, with capacity to teach Stage 5 preferred;
- Ability to create a positive, supportive and engaging classroom climate that meets the academic, social and emotional needs of all students;
- Ability to design, implement and evaluate curriculum collaboratively in accordance with College and NESA syllabus guidelines and outcomes;
- Proven ability to ensure teaching and learning activities reflect contemporary pedagogy, including the ability to integrate an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning and differentiation strategies;
- Understanding of, and ability to use data to analyse, report on and manage student progress, and to report to parents in a variety of ways that keep them regularly and fully informed of their children’s progress;
- Possess a valid Working with Children Check.
