GoBoat is Australia's leading electric picnic boat experience, offering self-drive boat hire with no license required. We operate from Breakfast Creek in Brisbane, providing locals and tourists with a unique and sustainable way to explore the river.
We are now looking for a motivated Site Manager to lead our Brisbane location through its next growth phase.
As the Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of GoBoat Brisbane while also working closely with the Director on local marketing, partnerships, and sales growth initiatives.
This is a hybrid role blending operational leadership with business development, perfect for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the challenge of growing a tourism business.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Team Leadership
Manage the daily operation of the GoBoat site at Breakfast Creek.
Lead, supervise, and train casual crew members.
Manage the roster, including Connecteam rostering platform.
Ensure boats are clean, safe, and operationally ready each day.
Oversee check-ins, safety briefings, and vessel departures/returns.
Maintain excellent customer service standards and handle guest issues.
Monitor compliance with safety management procedures.
Business Growth & Marketing
Assist in executing local marketing and promotional campaigns.
Identify and create partnerships with hotels, restaurants, bars, and tourism operators.
Explore and manage collaboration deals (e.g., commissions, referral programs, food/drink partnerships).
Help manage social media and content capture on-site (optional depending on experience).
Track local marketing performance and contribute ideas for sales growth.
Work towards revenue and wage targets (bonus scheme available).
Maintain wage efficiency.
Assist with stock management (drinks, merch, gift cards).
Ensure accurate daily reporting and reconciliation.

Requirements
Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or leisure operations (preferred).
Experience leading a small team (preferred).
Availability to work weekends and public holidays (core trading periods).
Strong problem-solving skills.
Interest or experience in marketing, partnerships, or local business development.
First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain).
Driver's License.
Coxswain ticket (preferred but not essential; can be obtained on the job if required).
