Reporting to the Supply Coordinator, the purpose of this role is to coordinate the expedition of
materials to sites and assisting EDL personnel to arrange those freight movements which EDL
are responsible for.
**Key Responsibilities**
- To undertake expediting actions for all goods and services on order for the Australian
business in a timely and effective manner in accordance with company policies and
procedures, including electronic filing of any supporting documentation.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including
Operations and Project Delivery, to understand delivery requirements for
operational/project materials and services.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to track and measure
delivery is in full and on time.
- Update purchase orders in the ERP system with supplier notifications and notify end
users where delivery date changes will impact the safe or timely completion of work
activities.
- Identify suppliers that are consistently under-performing and work with the contracts
team to resolve.
- Track open purchase orders and liaise with requestors to utilise or close out remaining
balances.
- Assist with the collation and production of regular reporting from the ERP system.
- Support EDL personnel in organising the shipment of goods in accordance with Chain
of Responsibility legislation which EDL is responsible to arrange.
- Provide coverage for other Supply team roles during periods of planned/unplanned
leave as required.
- Actively participate in Supply improvement projects and nominate opportunities for
potential Supply process improvements.

- In addition to the duties set out above, perform other duties as assigned from time to
time by the Company.
**Qualifications and Experience**
**Essential**
- Demonstrated understanding of the concept of customer service in an
external facing environment particularly as it applies to EDL.
systems at an intermediate level.
- Knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of relevant standards, legislation,
guidelines, principles and practices applicable to Procurement policies, Chain of
Responsibility, OH&S etc
- Experience in the maintenance of external party relationships.
- Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills and strong customer focus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and achieve targets.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
**Desirable**
- Relevant Purchasing (e.g. Queensland Purchasing certification) qualifications or
equivalent in Procurement & Logistics Management or related discipline
- Previous expediting experience (3-5 years)
- Knowledge of supply management systems & working in a purchasing and contracting
framework
- Experience with PRONTO Xi system or Oracle Cloud ERP
