What this job involves
The Building Operations Manager for the Royal Street precinct is a pivotal role that requires operational expertise to support and lead the Building Operations team. This position is responsible for managing the engineering and operational aspects of the client's property, with a focus on addressing and resolving critical operational issues and implementing process improvements.
A key responsibility is the effective management of JLL's deliverables through associated JLL Technologies,
including Prism, iComply and various other platforms. The role also involves procuring supplier and contract
leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage complex operational systems while maintaining high standards of compliance and efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Provide operational leadership for the Building Operations team at Royal Street precinct.
Manage engineering and operations of the client's property, including day-to-day management and compliance matters.
Oversee performance of the site operations team and manage service contracts.
Support property management in budgeting, capital investment planning, and asset strategies.
Ensure timely reporting and data delivery to clients and senior management.
Maintain high standards of risk management, particularly in areas of public liability, fire and lift safety, and essential services.
Implement continuous improvement through JLL IT systems.
Liaise with tenant FM resources and consultants to execute tenant works and meet sustainability
**Key qualifications and attributes**:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Experience in managing building services, preferably in multi-storey commercial assets
Knowledge of current workplace and building legislation
Proficiency in property engineering and operations
Analytical skills and computer literacy
Excellent communication skills
Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
An engineering degree or diploma is preferred but not essential.
