The Role
In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia is currently seeking a Food and Beverage Team Leader to perform hospitality & kitchen duties in the Mess and Bar areas. This is a causal position based supporting RAAF Base Tindal in Katherine.
Specific requirements of the role will include:
1. Meeting and Greeting Defence Personal
2. Cash Handling/EFTPOS use
3. Washing crockery, cutlery, glassware and other kitchen equipment at the end of each shift.
4. Ensure all packaged and/or perishable items (such as bread, milk etc.) are checked for best/ used by dates prior to service.
5. Cleaning of the premises and equipment.
6. Ensuring a high level of customer service is exercised at all times.
7. Assisting with restock, stock rotation, loading and unloading supplies, stores and equipment.
8. Assisting with stock take and inventory control for all Kitchen supplies.
9. Ensuring the facility’s HACCP programme’s day-to-day compliance requirements are met.
Skills & Experience:
10. Prior Team Leader experience ideal
11. Excellent Customer Service
12. Knowledge of Hospitality and Catering service delivery is preferred but not essential
13. Knowledge or experience working within Defence would be advantageous.
14. Driver’s License and own transport
15. Basic knowledge of computers and ability to use online rostering systems
