Market Manager, Australia and New Zealand
Based in Melbourne, the Market Manager is accountable for owning the commercial performance of the Southern Australia & New Zealand market, including revenue growth, margin delivery, pipeline health and major project conversion. He/she leads market strategy, prioritisation and execution, coordinating dealer partners and internal MillerKnoll specialists to win complex, high-value opportunities. Acting as the primary point of accountability, the Market Manager ensures market focus is aligned to ANZ, APAC and global objectives, delivering sustainable growth and long-term market performance.
Responsibilities
* Own the Southern Australia & New Zealand market plan, defining priority sectors, target accounts and major project focus aligned to ANZ strategy.
* Lead market prioritisation and resource deployment to drive commercial outcomes rather than activity volume.
* Provide market leadership through strategic coordination of dealer partners and internal stakeholders.
* Lead major and complex project opportunities from early influence through to close, acting as the primary point of accountability for commercial outcomes.
* Influence early-stage decisions with senior A&D leaders, key end users, project managers and strategic accounts to secure specification and conversion.
* Coordinate internal specialists and dealer resources to deliver winning solutions on priority projects.
* Engage selectively and strategically with senior A&D leaders, key end users and strategic accounts to influence high-value and complex opportunities.
* Lead thought leadership initiatives supported by MillerKnoll research and insights to strengthen market influence and brand positioning.
* Represent MillerKnoll at industry engagements aligned to priority sectors and strategic objectives.
* Lead and align dealer partners against defined market priorities and commercial objectives, ensuring focus on high-impact opportunities.
* Provide field training for dealer sales personnel to strengthen dealer capability deployment against priority projects.
* Actively guide dealer strategy rather than solely maintaining relationships.
* Own market-level forecasting accuracy, pipeline health and revenue conversion.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting on major projects and priority opportunities.
* Accountable for achieving market-level sales targets aligned to ANZ, APAC and global objectives.
* Involve specialist sales and internal resources where required to support complex opportunities.
* Liaise with manufacturing, supply chain and internal stakeholders to ensure commercial commitments are delivered.
* Participate in induction and new product training as required.
* Accountable for delivery of market-level revenue, margin and growth targets; ensure all market activity is cost‐effective, commercially justifiable and aligned with approved travel and entertainment budgets.
* Direct report to the Regional Sales Manager, MillerKnoll Australia & New Zealand; work cross‐functionally across brands, regions and specialist teams; flexibility to accommodate interstate and international travel.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in senior sales or market leadership roles, preferably within a multinational, design‐led or project-based environment.
* Proven experience leading complex sales opportunities and influencing outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
* Strong capability in commercial ownership, strategic selling and major project leadership.
* Strong understanding of the Australian corporate real estate and project market, with national exposure.
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, design or a related field.
* Field furniture, interiors or solutions-based industry experience preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; Salesforce experience preferred.
