Clontarf Aboriginal College is a co-educational Catholic secondary boarding school for First Nations students in Years 7–12, located in Waterford, WA. The Role
The College Nurse or Aboriginal Health Worker attends to the medical and health care requirements of students including the preparation and management of documentation to record the administration of medication to students and liaison with external medical agencies and guardians.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first aid/triage, health assessment, and support for students in collaboration with the visiting GP and other medical providers.
* Perform administrative duties associated with health care, including database entry, organising medical appointments, and coordinating health services at the College.
* Promote positive health among students, school staff, and the broader College community.
Selection Criteria
Essential
* Qualifications and experience in Nursing or Aboriginal Health Work.
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong written and spoken communication skills.
* Supportive of the Catholic ethos and values of the College.
* Accreditation to work in a Catholic school (or willingness to obtain).
* Willingness to obtain:

* National Police Check )
Highly Desirable
* Experience working in a school setting and with Aboriginal youth.
* Trauma Informed Practice.
* Current Driver's Licence.
