CRD is a division of Crawford offering Engineering, Quantity Surveying and Building Consultancy services to the insurance industry.
To learn more about CRD, visit a Forensic Engineer, you will be:Inspecting and reporting on building-related matters, including causation reports on defects and damages to buildings and structuresProviding technical advice and detailed scope of works and cost estimates in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Code of AustraliaDealing with a variety of stakeholders, including Insureds, the general public, builders and insurersAbout YouThe role will suit candidates who can demonstrate:Sound technical experience in Forensic Engineering (min 3+ years)Excellent technical report writing skillsExcellent client relationship and communication skillsHigh motivation, responsibility, sound judgment and customer focusExperience documenting and leading a diverse range of projectsAbility to perform in a fast-paced consulting workplace with competing demandsStrong commercial and business senseKey RequirementsA Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably structural engineering)Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or National Engineering Register (NER) qualifiedAt least 3 years\' experience as a Civil/Structural EngineerThorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian StandardsExperience working in a fast-paced environment; preferably within the insurance industryExperience working with legal firms and insurance companies (highly desirable)Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs to domestic, commercial and industrial propertiesAbility to support conclusions with appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedingsCrawford is committed to being an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and perspective.
