We are seeking a senior financial professional to join our team as a Financial Controller.
About the Role
The Financial Controller will play a critical role in shaping the financial backbone of our organisation, driving process improvement and innovation across the finance function, and empowering executive management with accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with management to execute the broader business strategic direction and improve visibility of financial reporting deadlines across the organisation.
* Financial Reporting: Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and corporate financial regulations, calculating and raising accruals, provisions, and other journal entries required for accurate end-of-month processing.
* Process Optimisation: Drive standardisation, efficiency, and best practices across financial processes, leveraging automation, offshoring, and AI technologies to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
* Commercial Support: Share regular insights on Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and cash flow with internal stakeholders, communicate key profitability drivers and opportunities for margin improvement, and serve as a customer-focused financial partner enabling stronger decision-making.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent qualification.
* Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualified.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally with Xero and Salesforce experience.
* Strong leadership and team development skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent analytical and commercial acumen, with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset.
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
