About the Role
We are currently looking for a Clinical Assistant, Division 2 Nurse to join our Private Radiology nursing team in the Ballarat region.
Responsibilities
* IV cannulation as required
* Admission and education of patients and their families
* Post‐procedure care, recovery and discharge
* Liaising with orderly staff for transport of patients post‐examination/procedure to wards
* Assisting to set up the room for various scans, including lifting and changing equipment
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse, Division 2 with medication endorsement to administer oral and IM medication, with current Registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria
* Ability to work in a high‐field magnetic environment
* Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time‐management skills
* IV cannulation qualification or preparedness to attend a cannulation course
* Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
* Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong patient‐centred care approach with ability to effectively build patient relationships
