System Operations Specialist
This highly skilled and detail-oriented role involves supporting and maintaining Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems across critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of OT and IT systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
* Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Operational Technology systems including SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, plant automation, and BMS.
* Provide technical support for IT systems including Windows environments and networked infrastructure.
* Develop comprehensive documentation such as Operating Manuals, SOPs, As-Constructed, and User Guides with SME input.
* Lead software change updates via regular team meetings and facilitate collaboration between teams.
* Assist in software migration and development post-SME retirement until deployment completion.
* Participate in system upgrades, testing, and commissioning to ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards.
* Liaise with engineering teams and vendors to resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Proven experience supporting Operational Technology systems such as industrial automation or BMS.
* Strong background in technical writing and document creation for engineering or IT/OT systems.
* Hands-on experience supporting Windows operating systems and associated infrastructure.
* Excellent communication skills and experience leading team meetings.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
The successful candidate will be able to translate technical concepts into clear, concise language and provide exceptional support to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
