Where You'll Be Working

The Physiotherapy team at Kurri Kurri Rehabilitation Unit is looking for a dedicated and team‐orientated Physiotherapist passionate about delivering excellent patient‐centred care. This is a permanent full‐time position working with a diverse and fulfilling caseload of neurological, orthopaedic, and geriatric rehabilitation inpatients.

Role

As a Level 3 Senior Physiotherapist, you'll play a vital role in providing high‐quality Physiotherapy rehabilitation care for our Lower Hunter community. This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated Physiotherapist who wants to:

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide compassionate care to patients, their families, and carers, guided by departmental standards and input from onsite senior clinicians.

Confidently working within your scope of practice, you will seek guidance from experienced colleagues when necessary.

Collaboration and openness are essential in this role, as you will identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery in the Kurri Kurri Rehabilitation Unit. Effective communication and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team are essential to delivering seamless, holistic and person‐centred care that is responsive to each patient's individual needs. The successful applicant must also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including self‐awareness, professionalism, and the ability to manage conflict constructively.

About You

We are seeking a skilled senior clinician with experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, who demonstrates a strong commitment to evidence‐based practice and ongoing professional development, and has the leadership capability to drive continuous improvement in clinical practice and service delivery. Excellent verbal, non‐verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.

The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing clinical demands is important, as is being a proactive team player who promotes Physiotherapy expertise within a multidisciplinary inpatient rehabilitation environment. Experience working within healthcare guidelines and a passion for improving patient outcomes will help you thrive in this role.

How You'll Be Supported

You will be supported by the Head of Discipline Physiotherapy and a full‐time senior Physiotherapist in this position with orientation provided on commencement and clinical support embedded throughout this role. Our journal club and reflective practice sessions operate monthly to enhance evidence‐based practice and drive continuous professional development within the Physiotherapy team. Clinicians from our multidisciplinary team at the Kurri Kurri Rehabilitation Unit also provide education sessions throughout the year to promote group‐based learning. Additionally, there are monthly Physiotherapy in‐services presented by the wider Lower Hunter Physiotherapy Department.

Requirements
* Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
