About Katherine West Health Board

Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km2), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.

Reporting and Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager Human Resources, this role provides high-level operational and advisory HR support, ensuring workforce processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with organisational and legislative requirements across a complex, remote service delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinating end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes
* Preparing and managing complex employment documentation including contracts, variations, and employment changes
* Providing timely HR advice to managers on policies, procedures, and workforce matters
* Supporting workplace investigations, reviews, and employee relations processes
* Maintaining HR systems and employee records, ensuring data integrity and compliance
* Monitoring workforce compliance including licences, registrations, and mandatory checks
* Providing advice and coordination relating to workforce logistics and remote workforce requirements
* Contributing to workforce reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Your Skills, Experience & Approach

To qualify you will need demonstrated experience in a Human Resources advisory or coordination role within a complex organisation. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a generalist HR environment will be essential.

You Will Also Require

* Strong knowledge of, or the ability to quickly obtain, Australian employment legislation and industrial instruments
* Experience supporting managers with employee relations matters and workforce decision-making
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
* High-level written and verbal communication skills
* A current Northern Territory Ochre Card, National Police Check, and NT Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain)
* Ability to travel to remote locations as required

Additionally, The Following Will Be Highly Valued

* Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
* Experience working in Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, healthcare, or remote settings
* Exposure to HR policy development, workforce planning, or organisational improvement initiatives
