* Have full Australian working rights
* Hold a full Australian driver’s license
* Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
* Be able to pass a Working with Children Check

* Be willing to complete a pre-employment assessment

A day in an Employer Liason Officer role involves…

· Cross-reference, screen and refer job ready job seekers to employment opportunities resulting in sustainable employment outcomes for jobseekers.

· Reverse Market job seekers to employers where appropriate ensuring the skills of the job seeker is aligned to the employers needs

· Develop effective relationships with employers to fulfil local business staffing needs including marketing WISE services to employers and telemarketing.

· Source local labour market vacancies through incoming and canvassing techniques.

· Gather all data about an employment opportunity.

· Ensure employers vacancy needs are met by placing eligible job seekers appropriately.

· Promote WISE employment to the business community in consultation with the Business Manager, Program Managers, Marketing and Communication Manager or other relevant staff.

· Provide reports regarding local labour market trends and needs for the organisation’s strategic purposes.

· Keep Business and Program Managers, Employment Consultants appropriately informed of successful employment placements.

· Provide Post placement and ongoing support where appropriate job seekers.

· Ensure evidence of employment is obtained aligned with DEEWR Contract guidelines

· Record all activities with Job Seekers in line with DEEWR expectation and WISE policies and procedures.

· Perform administrative, procedural and operational duties, as required.
What you will need to succeed

You will bring:

· Have 1-3 years experience in the employment services (or related) area

· Have demonstrated qualities of empathy, integrity and compassion

· Have well developed interpersonal skills especially with regard to establishing positive working relationships with external stakeholders

· Excellent time management and organisational skills

· The ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

· Demonstrated capabilities in a customer contact and/or administration role.

· An understanding of the employment services contract and an insight into the issues/challenges facing jobseekers.

· An understanding of labour market issues relevant to a designated geographical area.

· Proven ability to build successful business relationships and/or networks.

· Experience in sales, telemarketing and cold calling.
