CNC Operator & CAD/CAM Technician
Full-Time | Warragul VIC | 7:30am–4:00pm (Mon–Fri)
We design and manufacture premium illuminated architectural products with precision, efficiency, and pride.
Our workshop is clean, organised, and systems-driven — and we’re looking for the right person to take ownership of our CNC and machining workflow.
This is a hands-on production role with real responsibility and long-term growth potential.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
* Operating and programming our state-of-the-art flatbed CNC router (17-position auto tool change)
* Preparing and optimising tool-paths (CAD/CAM)
* Preparing clear, accurate machining files and basic shop drawings
* Managing machine setup, tooling, and calibration
* Routine machine maintenance and servicing
* Managing sheet material stock and associated consumables
* Supporting general production flow when required
Design work is completed in Adobe Illustrator (Mac platform).
CNC programming is completed on a PC-based system.
You must be comfortable working across both environments.
Our CNC runs fully automated once programmed.
The critical skill is preparation, precision, and thinking ahead — not standing beside a machine all day.
Working Structure
* 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
* Monthly RDO (Rostered Day Off)
* Paid morning break
* 30-minute unpaid lunch
* Hourly-based salary (paid for every hour worked)
* Annual leave + superannuation
* Competitive salary (based on skill and experience)
Who You Are
* Mechanically minded and practical
* Highly detail-oriented (you care about tolerances and finish)
* Organised with digital files and workflow
* Calm and steady under pressure
* Willing to take ownership of your machine and workspace
* Interested in long-term skill development
Experience in CNC and CAD/CAM is preferred.
However, strong aptitude and attitude matter more than ego or years served.
Our Culture
We are building a tight, high-standard manufacturing operation.
* Clean and structured workshop
* Team breakfasts and lunches
* Occasional team activities
* Direct communication with leadership
* No corporate politics
* No chaos
This is not a clock-in, clock-out environment.
It’s a place for someone who wants to build capability and take pride in their work.
Growth Opportunity
The right person can grow into greater responsibility over time as the business expands. We value initiative, reliability, and continuous improvement.
