We are currently seeking a Pastry Cook who is passionate about baking, decorating, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in producing the signature pastries and desserts.
* Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts in line with the employer's recipes and quality standards.
* Perform decorating and finishing to maintain presentation and brand consistency.
* Produce specialty items and custom orders, including dietary-specific products (e.g. gluten-free or vegan).
* Monitor baking times, oven temperatures, and ingredient quality to ensure consistency and excellence.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in accordance with Queensland Health standards.
* Manage ingredient preparation, stock rotation, and ordering to minimise waste and maintain freshness.
* Collaborate with management and other kitchen staff on new product ideas, seasonal offerings, and menu innovations.
* Support junior cooks or kitchen assistants through guidance and teamwork.
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Patisserie or Diploma in Hospitality Management (or equivalent).
Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in a commercial bakery, patisserie, or café environment.
