Cambridge, office-based

£37k OTE first year, plus excellent prospects

For communicative sci/tech professionals with an interest in business

If you have a software, electronics, mechanical, scientific or mathematical background – perhaps with years in industry, research or teaching already – and you're looking for a change of pace in a rewarding business role, consider ECM. Applicants who have taken a career break are welcome.

You will be:

• Degree qualified in a technical subject, with potentially a master's degree or PhD. You'll have an abiding curiosity and interest in technology and its commercial applications.
• Mature and self-directed, either naturally or through years of tech industry, research, or teaching experience.
• Able to express yourself well in writing, and with a good telephone manner. You will have outstanding written and verbal comprehension skills in English, including technical language.
• Relatable but professional; detail-oriented but multitasking; conscientious but pragmatic; confident but self-aware; collaborative but gently competitive; honest, tactful and on occasion persuasive, but not "pushy".
• Seeking a long term role in a small company environment, with achievement directly linked to your own initiative and hard work.

We offer a relaxed working environment, a 37.5 hour working week with core hours, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays and, after passing probation, home working on Fridays. Our offices are just north-east of Cambridge and we have parking on site. Applicants must be able to easily and practically reach our offices every business day. Long term UK work permission is required.
