Mercor is hiring experienced Financial Advisors to collaborate with a top AI research lab. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in financial advising to help design, test, and refine advanced AI systems that replicate real-world wealth management, retirement planning, and investment advisory workflows. You’ll play a central role in ensuring that AI-powered solutions are client-ready, compliant, and effective in delivering high-quality financial advice.
You’ll directly shape how AI handles tasks such as retirement planning, investment portfolio construction, cash flow planning, and personalized financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated financial plans and advisory outputs for accuracy, compliance, and client relevance
- Calibrate investment and retirement planning models to ensure financial soundness and client suitability
- Simulate and audit workflows such as asset allocation, risk profiling, and retirement income planning
- Review and refine AI-produced reports, recommendations, and strategic financial documents with a focus on real-world client needs
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI and product teams to improve the reliability and trustworthiness of AI-driven advisory systems
Ideal Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor, Wealth Manager, or in related advisory roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced certifications (CFP, CFA, CPA, ChFC) are a solid plus
- Deep understanding of financial planning principles, including retirement, estate, and investment planning
- Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial strategies
- Familiarity with compliance, regulatory standards, and fiduciary responsibilities in financial advising
- Location: US, UK, Canada, Australia or Europe preferred
Project Timeline
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 1–2 months
- Commitment: ~20 hours/week, part-time
- Schedule: Fully remote, asynchronous, flexible hours
Compensation & Contract
- $70–$95 USD/hour, based on experience
- Performance bonuses, at the project’s discretion.
