We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our team in Barcelona or Milan (Hybrid) to create a one-stop-shop for our customers, where they can find the best travel options for their needs and experience post-booking service in our best-rated mobile app. In the Travel Things area, our teams are building our future ancillaries retail platform to enhance the customer experience across new and innovative touchpoints. Create distributed, scalable microservices platforms with high-quality, clean code, following SOLID principles, design patterns, and TDD. Promote the use of microservices, clean code, SOLID principles, and TDD to the team. Be independent when working with modules in your area of expertise, in any phase of the SDLC. Design and develop advanced systems and innovative solutions; share them with both technical and non-technical audiences. Code solutions with high quality through good design, attention to detail, and test quality; act as a reference for best practices within the team. Work in a fully agile organization using Kanban to deliver business value continuously and improve efficiency. Actively participate in team ceremonies, events, and product definition and ideation processes. You will work in a fully agile organization, participating in team ceremonies and product ideation as part of a high-performing cross-functional team, alongside other engineers, product managers, architects, and UX designers. You will receive mentorship to help develop your career quickly. What you need to succeed

Good to have Deep understanding of software engineering concepts (OOP, functional programming, concurrency, data structures, design and architecture patterns, databases, APIs, etc.). Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including deploying to production and testing (unit and integration), and experience with Cloud and Continuous Delivery environments. Strong data-driven capabilities, analytical skills, design pattern skills, and creativity to solve complex problems. Aim to deliver resilient, high-performing solutions. Strong focus on quality and a technical excellence mindset. Excellent communication skills and the ability to reach agreements with stakeholders. The ability to visually represent solutions in standard diagrams for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational skills; ability to plan, prioritise, and manage tasks in uncertain environments. Good English level for a multicultural environment. Continuous learning mindset and openness to growth and innovation. Team player attitude with knowledge-sharing focus. Passion for your work and willingness to adopt latest state-of-the-art technologies when possible. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Applied AI Tools:

Comfortable using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-powered coding assistants. Experimentation Mindset:

Curiosity to explore and integrate AI-driven solutions into development workflows. AI-Enhanced Problem Solving:

Ability to leverage AI tools to debug code and improve productivity. Adaptability and Learning Agility:
