Speech Pathologist Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and report on communication and swallowing disorders, organise and implement treatment for participants, and work with staff and families/caregivers on possible intervention strategies.
* Advocate for communication support for participants with communication difficulties.
* Provide mealtime management plans and help improve mealtimes.
* Select and utilise appropriate evidence-based practices and service delivery methods, and review regularly.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* A professional qualification in Speech Pathology and an active membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or a willingness to attain it.
* A willingness to undertake intrastate travel to deliver services in other locations, and some outside normal hours work, as need arises.
* Knowledge of NDIS and participant/family centred practices is desirable.
* A current driver's licence.
* A current (no older than 3 months) or ability to apply for National Police Check.
* A current or ability to apply for Working with Vulnerable People Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Australian citizenship, permanent residence, or a current valid visa that shows full working rights.
