This is an ARC Kickstart Program funded by ARC Centre for Plant Success. The participation consortia of the project include Uni QLD (UQ), Western Sydney Uni, Monash Uni and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. We are cordially inviting Expression of Interest for joining the project as an RA.
In this project, we propose to deepen the investigation of genetic underpinnings of vapor pressure deficit (VPD) adaptation. One of our goals is to test whether VPD responses are shaped by climate of origin such as high vs. low VPD climates at place of origin, whether populations from high-VPD locations are more conservative in response to increased VPD, and whether high-VPD populations adopt conservative ecological strategies in general.
Participants will be working in our Plant Growth Facilities to conduct plant physiological traits measurement.
Participants actively dedicated to this project can claim an authorship of publications from this project.
