In our fast-paced, supportive Reservations Team, you'll help travelers choose the right experiences while working in our newly renovated office. You'll also enjoy wellbeing support and generous staff discounts across all CaPTA attractions.
The opportunity
As a Reservations Assistant, you will ensure smooth booking processes and deliver exceptional service to our guests and partners.
Key responsibilities
Customer service & bookings: Handle enquiries by phone and email; create and amend bookings accurately in the reservations system; resolve issues promptly and keep guests informed.
Itinerary coordination: Issue clear itineraries, pickup/meeting points and tour information; confirm special requirements and accessibility needs.
Accuracy & reporting: Keep precise records, daily reconciliations and basic reservation reports; follow accounting and privacy procedures.
Stakeholder liaison: Collaborate with the Operations Team and other partner companies in the CAPTA group to ensure smooth daily operations of our tours.
Quality & safety: Uphold Tropic Wings' standards for safety, quality control and eco‑friendly practices; follow WHS and company policies.
What you'll bring
Customer focus: Calm, professional service and confidence when interacting with customers.
Attention to detail: Strong organisational skills and accuracy with data and payment details. Data entry experience highly regarded.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication with strong English proficiency.
Tech skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel; RESPAX experience highly regarded.
Experience: Prior reservations, call‑centre or tourism sales experience is highly regarded.
Local knowledge: Familiarity with Tropical North Queensland products and destinations is beneficial.
Personality: Enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive individual.
Availability: Must be available to work across an alternating roster – 7 days per week, including public holidays and weekends.
