About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
* Provide tailored support that meets individual needs in the least restrictive way possible.
* Mentor clients and assist them in developing daily living and social skills.
* Be a positive role model, offering support in areas such as emotional wellbeing, transport, cooking, and domestic tasks.
* Administer medication and follow client‑specific support plans.
* Complete clear, concise, and factual handover notes and incident reports.
* Manage complex and challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
* Implement problem‑solving strategies and social support techniques.
* Encourage client participation in local community and cultural activities.
Requirements
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Willingness to work casual and call‑in shifts
* Basic computer literacy (training provided)
Preferred
* Qualification in Disability or related field
* Experience working with people with varied needs and concerns

* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
* A team player mindset with a passion for client‑centered care
* Previous experience in the disability sector (preferred)
* Confidence and skill in managing high‑intensity needs
