About the role
You will join a global health organisation that is currently undergoing a major modernisation uplift. You will be reporting into the Head of Health Applications. As a lead .NET developer you will offer technical leadership, support best engineering and agile practices with the application team. This role may offer people leadership duties depending on the person's strengths but at its core is a hands‑on development role, supporting and ongoing development of applications across BAU and Project work. You'll manage the full system lifecycle including upgrades, integrations, user support, and compliance ensuring the platform meets clinical, administrative, and business needs.
What's Required
* At least 5 years working as a backend developer across the Microsoft stack, C#, .NET, SQL
* Experienced following Agile Development practices and have run scrum meetings
* Not essential but enterprise healthcare application management, ideally within patient management or EMR platforms would be beneficial
* Strong knowledge of system integration standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and interface engines.
* Hands‑on experience in managing complex systems across cloud/on‑prem hybrid environments.
* Proven track record in system architecture, incident management, vendor oversight, and release management.
* Familiarity with security protocols, identity access management, and Australian data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
* Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
