Administration Officer - Midwifery at Home and Midwifery Caseload Practice

Where you'll be working

We are seeking a proactive Administration Officer who thrives in a fast‐paced healthcare environment and is passionate about supporting women, newborns and families through exceptional service. You will join the Midwifery at Home and Midwifery Caseload Practice teams within Women's & Newborn Health at Westmead.

This rewarding role sits at the heart of a highly respected maternity service, supporting the delivery of safe, coordinated and patient‐centred care for women and their families. Working alongside midwives, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to positive health outcomes through exceptional administrative support.

What you'll be doing

A key part of your responsibilities will include:

* Providing reception services and responding to telephone and face‐to‐face enquiries from patients, staff and visitors.
* Coordinating appointments, maintaining patient records and supporting reporting requirements across maternity services.
* Assisting midwives with administrative processes, scheduling and data management activities.
* Liaising with internal departments and external services to ensure timely access to records, interpreters and information.
* Supporting operational activities including stock management, office equipment coordination and general administrative duties.

Selection Criteria

* High level customer service skills.
* Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
* Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
* Proven ability to work in stressful situations maintaining confidentiality, showing adaptability and flexibility with a willingness to learn new tasks supporting a range of services/specialties.
* Competent in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office, iPM, Cerner, Oracle.
* Current valid NSW Drivers Licence.
