Job Opportunity: Lead Major Construction Crews
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated construction professional to lead and manage operations of major construction crews.
This role is responsible for planning, supervising and overseeing major construction and maintenance works for water and wastewater distribution facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervises and supports teams to ensure optimal performance.
* Exhibits leadership behaviours by taking initiative and referring issues of ethics and probity.
* Supports continuous improvement by identifying improvements to processes and practices.
* Undertakes project planning including investigation, CCTV, basic plans, estimating, ordering materials and organising resources.
* Provides advice in relation to major sewer repairs.
* Promotes staff involvement in team meetings.

This position requires availability to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
* Certificate IV in Water Industry (Civil Engineering or Water/Wastewater Engineering) or relevant trade qualifications.
* Class C Driver's Licence.
* Current NSW SafeWork First Aid Certificate.
* Current National WHS Construction Card.
* Asbestos Licence for removal of >10 sq meters.
* Proof of Australian residency or citizenship or authority to work in Australia.
* Supervisory experience with ability to lead and promote teamwork.
* Recent relevant experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure work.
* Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project software.
