Job Details
- Up to $94.19 per hour base rate
- Fully furnished housing provided
- Return travel provided
- 4-12 week contract
Your Main Duties
As a Child Health Nurse, you will be promoting and maintaining the health of children, providing support and education to families, and advocating for the wellbeing of young individuals. Your duties will include:
- Tracking physical, emotional, and cognitive development milestones to ensure children are growing and progressing as expected
- Performing routine health screenings and assessing children for any health concerns or developmental delays
- Administering immunisations to children
- The provision of guidance and education to parents and caregivers on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and child development
- Working closely with children and families who have chronic health conditions, provide education, support, and help manage the condition to promote optimal health and well-being
The Location
You will be living in a coastal location in Western Australia. Darwin and Broome are easily accessible by a quick flight and you will love the waterways for fishing, and boating. This is a fantastic place to live if you love the outdoor lifestyle with breathtaking gorges, beautiful beaches, rainforests, waterfalls etc.
To be eligible for this position, you must have the following:
- Current AHPRA registration, no restrictions
- Post graduate qualifications in Child Health Nursing
- At least 12 months recent Child Health Nursing experience
