**Job Description**
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to manage the mechanical engineering discipline of a major capital works program.
The ideal candidate would be part of a project delivery team supporting the Senior Project Manager. The role requires technical leadership, managing projects, mentoring teams, and ensuring quality in the delivery of mechanical engineering deliverables.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
Minimum 12 years' direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF) is required. Demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all aspects of mechanical engineering and design is also essential.
Proven experience of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals/agricultural sectors and exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary.
A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is mandatory. Must be available to work onsite in Laverton, Victoria.
