Cadet Human Resources Officer Blayney Shire Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to begin or restart their career as Cadet Human Resources Officer. As a Cadet Human Resources Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Council's HR, Work Health & Safety, training and development, and administrative functions. You’ll work closely with various teams and assist in the delivery of key services that contribute to the wellbeing and development of Council staff. Key Responsibilities As a Cadet Human Resources Officer, you will: Assist in delivering HR, WHS, training & development, and administrative functions across Council. Assist in coordinating workers compensation and return to work processes. Provide support to staff with training and development needs. Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, reports, and correspondence. Support continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of new systems of work. Maintain and update registers, records, and Council documentation. Assist with Council’s statutory reporting and policy development. Undertake research tasks and assist in preparation of submissions. Ensure compliance with safe work practices and report hazards. Who We’re Looking For This role is suited to individuals who have: Strong administrative and organisational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn and grow professionally within the HR field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, databases). A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Ability to manage deadlines, work under pressure, and operate with a high level of self-direction Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policies.
