About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for delivering accurate weekly payroll and assisting with financial administration across the business.
The role only requires previous experience across payroll as the accounting and financial support aspects of the role can be learnt on the job if required.
Your responsibilities will include:
Payroll Responsibilities
* Processing weekly payroll from timesheet review through to payment preparation
* Ensuring accurate calculation of wages, allowances, overtime and statutory deductions
* Managing superannuation, payroll tax, salary packaging and other employee deductions
* Processing pay adjustments, back payments and termination calculations
* Preparing payslips and maintaining up-to-date employee payroll records
* Completing payroll reconciliations and assisting with year-end reporting obligations
* Interpreting employment agreements, awards and relevant legislation
* Communicating with internal stakeholders regarding entitlements and payroll queries
Accounts & Finance Support
* Raising and issuing invoices in line with project requirements
* Following up outstanding accounts and responding to customer enquiries
* Performing regular bank reconciliations
