The Role
We're seeking an experienced ICT Security Specialist to support a national security-aligned program focused on secure system design, delivery, and accreditation across cross-domain environments. You'll provide expert input across cyber risk, compliance, and architectural reviews, ensuring systems meet stringent information security standards and are delivered with confidence into live operations.
This is a high-impact, long-term role supporting technical delivery across sensitive ICT platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide SME-level cybersecurity input across secure solution architecture and delivery.
* Support compliance with ISM, Essential Eight, and relevant accreditation frameworks.
* Contribute to risk assessments, security plans, and control validation activities.
* Liaise with engineering teams to ensure security is embedded in system build and config.
* Assist with the development and review of security documentation and artefacts.
* Support security incident preparedness, response planning, and remediation.
* Participate in architecture reviews, solution assessments, and delivery workshops.
What You'll Need
* Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity within secure government or classified environments.
* Strong understanding of the ISM, Essential Eight, and Defence security controls.
* Experience supporting system accreditation, audits, and risk management.
* Proven ability to work with technical teams across infrastructure, network, and cloud domains.
* Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent highly regarded.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Australian Citizenship with active NV1 security clearance.
