Job Description
Why You'll Love This Role
You'll play a key role in shaping how our community engages with waste services and sustainability. This is your chance to make a real impact by driving education programs, building strong stakeholder relationships, and helping us achieve our waste reduction targets. This is a 12 month contract (Maternity leave cover).
What You'll Be Doing
* Develop and deliver waste education and engagement campaigns
* Support waste operations with audits and bin tagging programs
* Build strong relationships with community groups and businesses
* Plan and host waste avoidance workshops and events
* Analyse feedback and data to improve waste services
* Create educational materials for public spaces and online
* Assist with administrative tasks
* Promote recycling and resource recovery initiatives
We're looking for a passionate communicator with a sustainability mindset. You'll ideally bring:
* Tertiary qualification in Waste Management or related field
* Strong knowledge of waste management and resource recovery
* Experience in community and stakeholder engagement
* Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Strong organisational and project management skills
* High-level written and presentation skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
