Job Title: Senior Hydrogeologist
Delivering specialist technical advice on groundwater resource management and impact assessments is a key responsibility of this role. As a senior member of the hydrogeology group, you will work alongside diverse engineers and geoscientists to provide expert guidance on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead hydrogeological investigations and assessments across various sectors, including municipal water supply, mining, infrastructure, and environmental projects.
* Design and manage field programs, including bore design, installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring.
* Develop conceptual hydrogeological models and support numerical modeling efforts.
* Provide technical advice on groundwater resource planning, impact assessments, and regulatory compliance.
* Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, budgets, and work programs.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and capability development.
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hydrogeology or related discipline.
* Over 10 years of experience in hydrogeological consulting or applied groundwater science.
* Strong technical skills in groundwater investigations, conceptualisation, and impact assessment.
* Experience with Victoria's groundwater framework, regulations, and policy is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in data analytics, including coding and spatial analytics through GIS, to support hydrogeological modeling.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in managing projects and project teams effectively.
