Business Development Manager – Engineered Cable Systems

We are an Australian manufacturer of engineered electrical cable systems supplying specialised solutions across mining, oil & gas, marine, defence and heavy industrial infrastructure projects worldwide.
Our products are high-performance engineered cables — not commodity products — designed to deliver superior durability, mechanical protection and reliability in demanding environments.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional catalogue sales role. You will be responsible for developing business across Western Australia, working directly with EPC contractors, mining operators, oil & gas companies, engineers and procurement teams.
You will identify and win project-based opportunities while positioning TriCab as a technical solutions provider in complex and demanding applications.
Because we design and manufacture our own products, you will have the ability to:
* Move quickly on project opportunities
* Solve engineering challenges competitors cannot
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop project-based sales opportunities across WA
* Build and manage relationships with mining, oil & gas and industrial clients
* Engage with engineers, project managers and procurement teams
* Develop and deliver engineered cable solutions for complex applications
* Position engineered cable systems as technical solutions rather than commodity products
* Work closely with internal engineering and manufacturing teams
* Travel across WA to support clients and projects

* Mining and resources (iron ore, lithium, gold)
* Oil & gas (onshore and offshore)
* Marine and shipbuilding
* Defence projects
* Industrial processing and infrastructure
Who This Role Would Suit
We are open to candidates from technical sales or engineering backgrounds including:
* Business Development Managers – industrial or engineering products
* Technical Sales Engineers
* Application Engineers with commercial experience
* Electrical or mechanical engineers moving into sales
Industry backgrounds may include:
* Electrical cable or electrical equipment
* Mining or resources sector
* Oil & gas equipment or services
* Automation or power distribution
$150k+ package with uncapped earnings
Strong exposure to WA's mining and energy sectors
Work on major infrastructure and resource projects
High level of autonomy and influence
Direct access to company leadership
Represent a manufacturer capable of true custom solutions
Location
Perth, Western Australia with regular site and client travel across the state.
