The Role:
The role of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to provide operational leadership and management within Portland District Health to meet the strategic plan. The incumbent is a senior nurse who is able to offer assistance to clinical divisions and be a human / management resource especially out of business hours. All interactions with staff, patients and relatives is guided by the organizations values of wisdom, courage, and compassion.
A Senior Registered Nurse with management and leadership experience.
Advanced understanding and knowledge of clinical nursing and clinical risk management
Understanding and familiarity of NSQHS Standards
Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, verbal and ICT skills
