Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) is seeking experienced Registered Nurses, Registered Midwives, Dual Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our Rural Reliever pool, providing short-term nursing support across rural and regional communities.
These travel nursing opportunities are designed to fit around your lifestyle — choose when you work, where you work, and for how long, with no lock-in commitment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Rural Reliever, you will deliver high-quality patient care while supporting rural and regional health services across Hunter New England. You may work across a range of clinical settings, including:
* Emergency
* Medical, Surgical and Sub-acute
* Rural Generalist services
* Perioperative
* Renal
* Mental Health
* Midwifery
* Acute maternity care
* Birth suite
* Antenatal and postnatal care
* Aged care

In addition to NSW Health nursing rates, you'll receive:
* Casual Loading (10%) + Term Loading (8.33%)
* 12% Superannuation
* Daily Living Away from Home Allowance (LAFHA): $128 per day (Up to $896 per week, including days off when working full time, or pro-rata for part time)
* Accommodation provided: On-site or local (partners and pets may be accommodated, subject to location)
* Travel support: Which may include paid travel reimbursements (capped) and contributions or reimbursements for flights, train or car travel
* Flexible contracts – from 2-week rotations up to 3 months

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Dual Registered or Enrolled Nurse
* A minimum of two years' post-registration experience
* The ability to adapt to different clinical environments and rural settings
