This is the chance to join right as the takes off. More About the Role at Deloitte About the team The Workplace Integrity team is a part of Deloitte's Strategy, Risk & Transactions team in Australia. The Workplace Integrity team combines practitioners with deep workplace relations expertise and advanced data analytics skills to support clients to navigate the evolving workplace regulatory landscape and identify innovative opportunities to make a real impact for our clients. You will join a large team of passionate and innovative workplace relations practitioners with diverse experience across professional services, industry and government, all working together to support our clients to solve their most complex workplace relations challenges. What will your typical day look like? As a Manager in our team, you will play a pivotal role influencing, advising and supporting our clients on their complex workplace relations issues, across a diverse range of industries including ASX listed, government, and private companies. You will engage with clients every day to develop an understanding of their strategic challenges, opportunities and how you can help them. Through your workplace relations insights and expertise, you will help your clients to align their workplace relations strategy to their organisational strategy, navigate organisational transformation and change and manage regulatory risk and compliance with workplace relations obligations. With the support of Partners and Directors, you will manage and lead teams of consultants to develop: • Workplace relations and enterprise bargaining strategies • Workplace relations and payroll compliance and remediation • Frameworks, processes & controls to enable sustainable workplace relations compliance. Your typical day will include some of the following activities: • Leading and enabling a team throughout the delivery of work and inspiring, supporting and developing your team along the way • Leading or contributing to proposal development activities to shape, scope and win new packages of work • Managing the planning, forecasting and delivery of work in line with an agreed statement of work • Contributing to and leading the reporting of status up through the project and client governance structures, including identification and managing risks and issues associated with your stream of work and across the program • Shaping the ongoing work and managing the delegation of work, and review of deliverables throughout the delivery • Engaging with your program leadership (Directors/Partners or otherwise) to ensure appropriate input and review throughout • Participating in practice related activities, and acting as a career coach for team members – helping to guide them in their ongoing growth and development within the firm You will have an opportunity to work with a group of highly experienced and supportive workplace relations practitioners, giving you an opportunity to grow your expertise and skills. You have practical experience with workplace relations legislation and industrial instruments and are adept at translating complex, technical information into simple, understandable concepts that all stakeholders can relate to. Above all, you are someone with the utmost integrity, who holds confidentiality and discretion at your core. You may have all or some of the following skills and experience: • Significant experience in workplace relations • Detailed knowledge of Australian workplace relations laws • Excellent eye for detail and ability to think logically, critically, and to solve problems • Ability to: o help clients identify strategic opportunities to reach win-win solutions for our clients and their employees / stakeholders o build and maintain strategic relationships with external stakeholders o apply a commercial and risk point of view o work independently, demonstrate high levels of initiative o take ownership of projects and deliverables, identifying key connection points with project leadership (e.g. Partners and Directors) including key risks/ issues for escalation • Project management skills, including ability to manage to timeframes, budget and milestones • Track record of leading teams including allocation of workload on a day to day basis and developing junior team members to reach their potential • Demonstrated ability to think ‘outside the box’ and not afraid to challenge status quo • Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular, the ability to contextualise and communicate complex concepts accurately • A collaborative and consultative approach to teamwork with a natural curiosity for new ideas and perspectives to achieve innovative solutions • Enjoy being in a dynamic, fast-growing environment and embrace the opportunity to experience new challenges and develop your career • Tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, labour/employment law, or employee relations human resource management If you don’t think you're a perfect fit, you should still sign up to Hatch and create a profile, we'll match you to other roles that suit your profile.
